The pattern is made from colored translucent clay.  The yellow and blue dunes shimmer and move.  Translucent clay is very soft and to make a clean separation of colors was quite a challenge.

My polymer clay on glass paper weights make a dramatic statement under a desk lamp or in front of a window which reveals the translucent patterns of color and light. They make great hostess, holiday and birthday gifts!
