8" x 8" Plate - 'Still Life with Tea'
8" x 8" Plate - 'Still Life with Tea'
This is my whimsical nod to the Master still life painters of the Renaissance. It features many new techniques for creating patterns and textures with polymer clay. The napkin is comprised of tiny “threads” of pearl clay to mimic fabric. The tea pot cane was created with shimmery metallic silver clay, then manipulated to create a three dimensional shape. As with other recent creations, the blue sky background is highly translucent and looks lovely near a light source.
Glass plate is elegantly curved and could be hung on wall or placed in a stand near a light source. I think this would be such a fun piece to serve cookies at your next tea time, don’t you?
